Waxwing 2441

My parents found this poor Bombycilla cedrorum in a parking lot after he hit a car window. Poor baby was badly concussed. He was kept in a spare travel cage I use for my cockatiel until he regained his senses. This is the moment before he flew away. Even after getting into a tree, he stared down at us for a couple of hours, perhaps contemplating what had been done for him, before he finally flew away. Photographed on 3/22/10.
